🎉👩‍🎓Flomaton High School and ECRC graduate Chloe Smith recently earned a Skill Point Certificate in First Aid-CPR at the 2025 SkillsUSA Championships, held in Atlanta on June 25-26. Chloe, a former student of Mr. Herrington's Law and Public Safety class, was among over 6,500 students who competed in this national showcase of career and technical education. ⛑️🏅

The SkillsUSA Championships, the world's largest skill competition🌎, invites first-place state winners to demonstrate their technical, workplace, and personal skills across 114 hands-on occupational and leadership competitions. Industry leaders from 850 businesses and over 1,200 judges evaluated contestants against their standards for entry-level workers. Skill Point Certificates, awarded to national contestants who meet a predetermined score, signify workplace readiness and can be added to an employment portfolio. "This showcase of career and technical education demonstrates SkillsUSA at its finest," said SkillsUSA Executive Director Chelle Travis, highlighting the collaboration between students, instructors, and industry partners to ensure student excellence.

The SkillsUSA Championships is an annual event for middle school, high school, and postsecondary students, held as part of the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference. This nonprofit partnership is dedicated to developing America's skilled workforce and addressing the national skills gap. Congratulations again to Chole 🧩💙!
